Pros

To begin, the culture at Paycom is unlike any other. It is one of the reasons I chose this company. The support from every level in the company is strong and hands-on. The culture leads to the way Paycom conducts itself as executives, which leads to how we treat our customers. Being professional and involved is a way of life at Paycom. Being in an outside sales position allows for freedom as well and desk time. Coming to work and having a different day, every time, is something that is not always the case with other jobs. The compensation is fantastic. You get a base and commission which is competitive in the market and provides a reward for all your hard work. Which is true, the work is hard, but no one gets to where they want to be or be successful without working hard. Lastly, the training never ends with Paycom. After the initial training period you still have trainings to keep your mind fresh and your knowledge on up to date. This is helpful when meeting with clients. You are able to feel confident about what you are saying and know it is truly relevant to the client today.

Cons

In the beginning you go through a training period. During this time you are focused on training for half of every day. For the duration of Training it is somewhat hard to have a work-life balance. A lot of your time is occupied with becoming an expert about the system and balancing other duties.

Pros

The People Make Paycom - I really enjoy working with everyone I have had the change to work with. As someone that moved to Oklahoma from out of state, my co-workers were welcoming, and I have several current and previous co-workers that I am friends with outside the office. In addition, the clients that I work with LOVE Paycom. It is easy to come to work when you are working with clients that genuinely want your help and enjoy working with you.

Cons

There aren't many opportunities to work remotely or from home in a hybrid manner, at least not in my department. My department is also relatively new, so there are a lot of changes fairly often. I'd like to have more consistency there, but I know that will come as our department grows.

Pros

* Fast learning and professional skill growth. * Great people and strong teams. * Recognized name in the OKC community. * Valuable experience that strengthens future career opportunities, especially in Tech.

Cons

Over the past couple of years, career growth has felt extremely limited. Promotions and meaningful raises have become increasingly rare, and many employees believe these decisions are being driven from the very top. Layoffs and terminations have also become common, creating a constant sense of uncertainty. High performers often take on high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines and limited support. The expectations are unrealistic, and even successful delivery doesn’t usually lead to recognition or advancement. Leadership tends to make decisions very late, creating unnecessary urgency and forcing teams into last-minute scrambles. Benefits have declined, opportunities for advancement have become scarce, and overall morale has suffered significantly. There are talented people here and it can be a good place to gain experience, but I would view it primarily as a stepping stone rather than a long-term destination.
