      Pros

      For a retail job, the majority of customers that come in are friendly and happy to be there. They are shopping for an animal they love and that induces the happiness all in itself. Getting to see and interact with cute dogs and cats on the daily is great.

      Cons

      90% of the employees are part time and will never advance out of that. Benefits for part time? Nope. Time off for part time? how does 15 hours a year sound. That's petsmart for you. They will work you 1 hour less than their full time managers and give you nothing while giving them all the benefits and bonuses earned off of your hard work and effort. You will never have a day where everything runs smooth. Everyday is a struggle to play catch up in store operations.

      Pros

      If you have experience they can pay very well considering the size of the company. Depending on which store you are in, they can be pretty good at fostering a good environment and culture.

      Cons

      Company is primarily focused on sales and not customer experience. So expect a lot of metrics and hounding customers. Company is trying to be technologically forward but continues to neglect to invest in the technology. So there’s updates every week crashes every week with no communication around it.
