Very quick. This was a quick interview during a job fair in Scottsdale, Arizona. Because of this, we had very limited time and there weren't many questions. It was really more of a get to know you interview. Everyone was very kind and thoughtful.

Retail & Hospitality

I recently accepted a position as a Customer Engagement Manager at Petsmart. I did research on sites like Glassdoor, Zippa, and Indeed concerning average salary. According to all 3 sites, it is around $80k a year. Is this an accurate assessment, or are they being extremely generous. Because they're offering me $46k a year.

I work at petsmart and I do love my job I work with petcare and love the customer but hours are a big problem. I’m trying to move to Oklahoma but not being able to make over 250 a week is stressful. Any tips or ideas. I am almost 20 with roughly 3 years of customer service Experience. And I love taking care of animals. I’m always happy to learn anything. Please let me know if you are hiring for full/part-time. Thank you so much for the opportunity!

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Phoenix, AZ
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PetSmart (Phoenix, AZ) in Nov 2023
The recruiter called me and grilled me for 45 minutes. He was actually acting like he was the hiring manager. A week later I was scheduled for an on-site interview where the hiring manager barely made eye contact and typed the entire time while also looking at his watch constantly. There was also a Director in the room who just stared at me. She only had one question during the entire interview process. The whole thing seemed really disorganized. Not to mention the Director insulted my dog's breed by stating they are not that smart. Meanwhile, weimaraner are considered to be in the top 25 smartest dogs category. I thought it was extremely rude and turned me off from the job. In addition, any questions I had about culture were met with snide comments and inside jokes about the company which was completely unprofessional.
- There were quite a few tell me about a time questions that were being read from a document.
