Pros
The animals are fun to be around, and many customers bring their pets in with them. Flexible scheduling. Other employees and managers are generally friendly and actual job responsibilities are not difficult when properly staffed.
Cons
They are almost always understaffed, and so even when I was a brand new cashier, there would be some days when I was the only cashier working so there would be super long lines and customers would get upset. This made the job much more stressful than it had to be. They also understaffed pet care, so they often had too many tasks to get done in the time given. Also, pay is fairly low.
