      Pros

      With Philips large portfolio, there are many products one can support at different capacities. You can be a project manager for Radiology but become an account manager with mobile surgery. Philips was also doing remote positions way before Covid so I never had to worry about my position suddenly becoming office-based.

      Cons

      Leadership has a lot to be desired. Failure to perform root cause analysis on obvious problems to prevent them from happening again. There was always a resource shortage with no desire to fix. Benefits, particularly pertaining to PTO, could have been better. New employees started out with 10 days (two weeks). It took me 12 years to get to 21 days. But, floating holidays were a bonus. Pay is not great.

      Pros

      The people in non- upper management roles that work there are fantastic. Great sense of community onsite and the culture champions are consistently looking for ways to make work life better.

      Cons

      Very poor communication on the strategy for the business unit. Leadership publicly promotes innovation and new ideas to be presented but then those ideas are shot down or penalized in private by current upper management. The business unit leadership says that don't want excuses for project delays but will then decide to do 3 major layoffs in the first two quarters with no transition plan, no support for gap in resources and no expectations to delayed progress.
