Expect to get pushed out if you're a long term "Promethean". Fresh and new is far more desirable - Property Manager Prometheus Real Estate Group Employee Review

Pros

Prometheus has a huge presence in the Bay Area and is widely known. There is a huge emphasis placed on branding and setting themselves apart from the competition. Jackie Saffier has a huge heart, works hard to make the company succeed and truly cares for her Prometheans.

Cons

The properties are savagely understaffed, there are clear favorites that consistently get repeated recognition and the perks for the corporate Prometheans are rubbed in the faces of the field Prometheans. (Extra days off, higher rent discounts - they will deny this happens, but we see it all the time - bagel and casual Fridays, etc) It's a struggle to feel appreciated and to keep your tiny team motivated. Expect to work late, come in early and be expected to answer company emails from your cell phone/laptop when away from your desk - even from home. Quick and almost immediate response times are a requirement. Unfortunately the drastic downsides are downplayed to Jackie and she isn't aware of how unhappy the field teams are.

Pros

I have a great manager; the benefits are good. Working here is pretty manageable. Daily task aren't overwhelming, communication is clear and tasks are handled right away.

Cons

Only cons is that any training or event is far away from my location.

Pros

Prometheus is a People focused business. I've always felt like my opinions and ideas are valued. There is ample opportunity for career advancement, and no shortage of leaders and mentors that will support you. Employee benefits are excellent. Full medical, dental and vision benefits for employees and their families. Fairly accrued PTO and Sick time, paid time off for birthdays, holidays, as well as Veterans' Day for vets. company holiday and summer events are a great time. Prometheus gives back to the community. Plenty of Opportunities for volunteer work in various programs like Habitat for Humanity and Bay Area Family Giving Tree. Other Impacts include building and donating parks to Cities we operate in, and the UCSF Helen Diller Hospital under construction in San Francisco. Prometheus is a privately owned business and focuses on quality and brand in ways that matter. while managing expenses is important to our success as a business, it takes a backseat when it comes to making sure we provide excellent and professional service. Not having to adhere to the decisions of shareholders like some of our biggest competitors do, allows us more creative freedom and options to provide our customers with quality service.

Cons

Employee housing benefits have recently improved, but there's still opportunity to further options.
