Pros

IT application & infrastructure and operation services organization to many Prudential business units. Good learning ground for those who wants to learn on-jobs technical skills. Good bonus just like any other insurance companies, but be prepared to work like slave.

Cons

Lots of politics and power struggling problems with the senior management team. You can find the worst IT bosses there, lots of foreigners in senior positions, who take care, hire and promote their own kind only. If you are useful, you are wanted; when you are not useful, bosses start ignoring you. One can also be found loaded with tons of responsibilities as the top management believes in lesser hires with maximum responsibilities. Senior management micro-manage team and will constantly call you immediately (even on weekends) whenever VIP feedback minor problems on systems. No clear directions and major decisions often get changed as frequently as the staff turnover rates. Management is there to "fix" problems only. no long term directions and solutions.

Pros

The culture and the way Pru treats it's employees is wonderful. They vet their hires thorougly, so you rarely find anyone that is not terrific in their role. Their benefits are also great.

Cons

Current AI adaptation has sent the tech side of the organization into a bit of a spin, as it has in almost all organizations. Due to that, some reorganization have been occurring, and many very talented leaders have been laid off. But the focus remains on the customer always, and no doubt these changes will level off soon.
