Pros

Offices for engineers Flex hours working in wireless decent benefits office gyms are very well equipped Volleyball courts Living in San Diego Impact of my work in the world

Cons

Long hours tedious work Promotions are based on doing tons of grunt work, not quality or smarts- quality gets you 3/5 , grunt gets you 4/5. cafe food is bad low salary stock that never goes up! - Wireless data is the most in thing in tech now, but at qualcomm at the center of this innovation we never saw any financial benefit out of it. Outside wireless/ may be systems companies unknown brand - even in San Diego where qualcomm is the largest private employer , when you tell people you work for qualcomm, they think you sell beer or something in qualcomm stadium

Pros

Great design team. Learn a lot in the project. Great resources for self motivated technical improvement.

Cons

Big wave of talented engineers leaving in some critical departments. CEO lacks responsibility on the company development. CEO and CFO have been selling their stocks a lot every year.
