Pros

Sitting back and watching Cineworld destroy what was once a leader in the exhibition industry.

Cons

Cineworld has officially made Regal one of the worst customer experiences in the exhibition industry. Cutting 60% of your management staff across the board is a desperation move. They’re response to our concerns is “hire more” the problem with that is that Regal Cineworld does not offer a high enough starting rate to entice or retain competent talent. With the max raise given going forward being a single dollar over the course of 2 years they says it’s to push people to move up. That’s a lie. There’s nothing to move up to. They just killed all of the potential positions. It seems to me that Cineworld bit off more than they could chew in this poorly planned buyout. “I can understand change can be hard” is the most patronizing phrase repeated by Bruce Wren and others on the restructuring conference calls. The most amazing thing listening to them on there is that they have not thought anything out. They never have any answers to very, very simple question and usually dance around giving non-answers. It’s embarrassing, I’m embarrassed for them even if they completely oblivious to themselves. Regal Cineworld actively descriminates against families as well. You cannot turn the job into a career. God forbid you need somewhat of an availability for child care purposes. NOPE! Regal Cineworld won’t let you keep your job! No benefits to working there anymore. I’m not talking about the gutting of the movie pass privilege. “Hey here’s some vacation and sick time that you’ll never be able to use because there not enough coverage.” It’s a mess. Stay far away from this company.

Pros

The initial role offers good experience in sales and customer service, but the benefits are overshadowed by internal management failures.

Cons

The primary issue lies in the disconnect between local management and corporate HR, specifically regarding off-boarding and payroll accuracy. I submitted a formal two-week notice which was reportedly never filed by my manager. This resulted in an "ineligible for rehire" status despite my following all proper protocols. Furthermore, communication from Corporate is inconsistent and contradictory. I was told both that my notice was received but my two weeks were incomplete, and then later told that no notice was submitted at all. Even with physical proof of attendance (after a manager failed to adjust a manual clock-in as promised) and proof of the submitted notice, Corporate refused to correct the record.
