Pros

* You do what you're good at. Having started in a small European office when it was just set up, everyone helped with what they knew how to do. I work in Community, but I have web development and QA experience, so I helped out where I could. * People honestly believe in the game. Everyone here loves the game and even when we are unhappy with certain aspects, we know who to talk to and they're usually super receptive. * Riot accepts no constraints. So many things that in previous jobs I wouldn't have considered to bring up because they were obviously too big / too ambitious we just do here casually

Cons

* Communication is the big thing. People do stuff and don't necessarily always remember who else should know. Infamous "hallway discussions" take place where important decisions are made on the spot. Europe is often forgotten. A lot is changing here but this is still the biggest hurdle.

Pros

Great benefits, pays well, can work on some very interesting problems.

Cons

Work hours are from 10-7 and hardly anyone actually works that, so stuff can move at a snail pace. Getting help from central teams can be painful, especially if they're way off hours. Some of the culture can get a bit overwhelming too and you can end up feeling pretty lonely if you don't drink the koolaid.
