Pros

A few of the people who work at Sage are qualified and want to do a good job and provide good customer service.

Cons

Top management is constantly changing focus and direction- no clear vision. They have laid off a lot of people recently who had a wealth of experience. Because of those exits, Sage now has a huge gap in productivity and direction.

Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to write a review. We agree with you that our people are fantastic and are committed to doing a great job - from creating innovative new products for our customers, to marketing and selling them and offering superb customer service. Our vision is laid out by our CEO, Stephen Kelly and through his VSGM (vision, strategy, goals and metrics), all of us set our own goals to ensure we are all aligned. Having said that, change is constant and we are continuing to make changes to ensure we better serve our customers. Your insight is invaluable and will help us to continue to strive to do better. Thanks again.

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
