Pros

401k/Pension are great, benefits package is rather good, good amount of vacation and sick time; great opportunity for overtime money for HOURLY employees.

Cons

First off, that benefits package probably will be non-existent in several years, as they are cutting benefits annually now (been there 5 years). Secondly, every review is spot on regarding the treatment of people. Management lies to your face, makes decisions last minute, and there is simply no possibility of actual "promotion." In manufacturing if not elsewhere, a promotion is literally referred to as a raise, as your job functions never change. There is slight actual promotion once you are salary (meaning no overtime pay), but you will literally sacrifice you life for that (I know managers who bring their laptops home and work all night). Thus the actual smart workers are the one who dog it, as opposed to those work tirelessly for no recognition, from verbal onwards. One thing yet to be mentioned is the sheer lack of confidence management has in their workers, It is a well-known inside joke that when the FDA comes through, they pull all their people of the floor. You do not need to know the FDA is around for inspection, you need only look into the eyes of management and see the fear. Whether that means they lack confidence in their people, themselves or worse if for you to decide.

Pros

You Learn a lot about GMP/Pharmaceutical Industry since its heavily regulated by the FDA. The pay is good for the position.

Cons

There are limited opportunities for career advancement, particularly for contractors. Training is generally restricted to the specific process equipment required for assigned tasks, with little opportunity for broader skill development. Additionally, the workplace culture can be challenging. Some long-tenured employees appear to feel entitled to treat others disrespectfully, creating a toxic work environment. Their seniority often seems to shield them from accountability, as concerns raised with management frequently go unaddressed. There also appears to be a lack of diversity and inclusion, which contributes to workplace microaggressions, disrespectful behavior, and an environment where not all employees feel equally valued or respected. There is limited opportunity for contractors being hired on a full time basis, they have to leave the company for six months before they can be hired back! No company benefits for contractors!
