Pros

Some great people work at this company, there are many kind and talented people that work for Selectquote. There is also access to a lot of educational resources.

Cons

This company, for one that has been around for so long, is very immature from a tech standpoint, from documentation, to processes, to infrastructure (this varies by team). The IT teams are not very cohesive, and there's lots of bickering and politics between the teams that prevents real work for being done. I will not speak on every IT team, but I will specifically say that the Security team is under awful management. With no balance between micromanaging and no management, it is a team that gets no respect due to the lack of real leadership. If you're lucky you'll get to learn a lot, but it is ultimately a team with no real leader, has no long term plans, that exists purely to tick off check boxes. The team has amazing analysts, and an amazing Project Management team to back them up, but they are severely stunted by management.

Pros

My coworkers from the Wilmington branch were some of the best people I've worked for.

Cons

Empty promises, Unfair Treatment.felt like I was on an Island. I started as 1 of 4 CSR reps in Wilmington. One of the four was remote but they refused to let the other 3 be remote. Eventually all reps left accept for me. My manager was in the Kansas office. I was paying $50 a month for a parking pass & commuting. I asked since I was the last one & that they made it clear they were only going to hire for Kansas going forward can I be remote & they refused....Eventually they decided to stop paying the absorbant rent for downtown Wilmington & made everyone remote. Soon after they shut down that branch entirely.
