Pros

if you need money for the holidays and are prepared to abandon your family to get it then this is the place for you

Cons

Where do I begin.... I agree with the employee above. They micromanage you like crazy and hardly ever have anything positive to say. no matter how well you work its always you need to go faster. In my opinion their "numbers" are impossible to hit. Nothing makes sense at this company..one person gets fired for missing a couple days or talking to much and there are people that still work there who have missed alots of days and been reprimanded for numerous things and are still employed with sephora. Also they compare your numbers with other workers who have been there for years or depending on what products you are picking you are naturally going to pick slower but they still expect you to meet the same quota as everybody else. I think its a big joke..its nothing but a popularity contest. If the big bosses like you, you can get away with more if they don't they will look for reasons to fire you. You can show up everyday on time and do your best and it's never good enough. Terrible management is the biggest problem.

Pros

fun getting gratis and hosting in-store events, meeting brand ambassadors/managers, socializing with clients

Cons

manager created a weird environment -- coaching moments were sometimes extremely aggressive for a retail environment; strict on not applying makeup to clients unless they purchase a service. once made me move from a disabled client quickly because I was "spending too much time with them" and to further boost the store sales. felt extremely unethical.
