      Pros

      Great place. Great culture. Young. Vibrant and You need to be Willing to be Challenged. Good house cleaning perks. Good health care coverage.

      Cons

      - It is taxing to be guru. First six months were toughest thing I ever did in my life. Having another job a few other things on the side doesn't help either. - No matching RRSP. - Make you feel old working there since everyone is so young

      Pros

      Remote first culture. If you want freedom of location and a company to truly mean and support it - this is the place.

      Cons

      Constant change. Nothing to hold on to in this role, compensation, KPI's, tools all change every quarter.

      Pros

      Legacy Shopify ICs and lower-level managers are excellent and generally quite nice (company's Canadian after all) Caliber of engineering talent is generally high Dev-friendly stack (Ruby/Rails) Bleeding-edge AI adoption with unlimited token budget

      Cons

      Recently brought over a CTO from Microsoft: he brought with him a lot of not-at-all-nice people who are highly political, frequently rude/condescending to legacy Shopifolk, and make consistently bad/dev-hostile technical decisions Bleeding-edge AI adoption is being used to justify unreasonably increased expectations
