Intentional Toxic Work Culture - Principal Data Scientist Shopify Employee Review

The culture (or lack thereof) is toxic and management lacks any sense of empathy. The company has an adversarial view of its employees. It’s clear that Shopify has over hired/compensated post-pandemic and have also taken a strong POV towards AI replacing its workforce. The company is intentionally making work miserable/upping the pressure & demands so that they do not need to do public layoffs and instead would rather employees burnout, have mental breakdowns, and leave on their own accord.
