      Pros

      They always have classes that are free for you to attend. However I had to drive an hour away to get to those classes, and they were mandatory. The job itself was great. Great Atmosphere. Love the sports at the stations, pay was just ok.

      Cons

      Our shop was bought by new owners. The owners either made me fire everyone or cut their hours so low that they quit. I ended up working everyday sometimes all day. They changed my pay from hourly to $500 salary a wk. After taxes I was essentially paid $750 to work 12 out of 14 days and always WELL over 40 hours a week. Also, time limits on all haircuts we did. Makes it difficult to give the best service possible.

      Pay, schedule flexibility, growth opportunities, company events, benefits

      Cons

      The pay is excellent as long as you’re performance is strong and especially if your flexible with your schedule and full time. But if you’re not a good performer or super part time, this might not be the best place for you.

      Pros

      Great hourly pay with tips. Averaged about $38 to $40 an hour. Great starting place. They do offer training. The co-workers were nice at my location. Management does help you with flexible scheduling so if you have children, it works out great.

      Cons

      Burnout is real. Expected to complete service within an allotted short time. Too many clients come in that want expensive barbershop cuts but want to pay the lowest price (they really shouldn’t even go to sport clips for). Also, way too many clients with long hair wanting full scissor cuts. They won’t turn away clients even if the cuts they ask for are — are not something sport clips does or allows for a lot of time. TV’s get annoying after a while (too loud).
