      Pros

      The pay is hourly on top of commissions; usually willing to work with your personal restrictions for your work schedule. Relaxed dressed code; generally athleisure. Short Hours compared to other commercial salons.

      Cons

      Commission can be hard to make if you cannot or do not like to up sell. Raises and general promotions can also be hard to get because they do prefer numbers over leadership or general management skills. Must have weekend availability and at least two closing availability shifts.

      Pay, schedule flexibility, growth opportunities, company events, benefits

      Cons

      The pay is excellent as long as you’re performance is strong and especially if your flexible with your schedule and full time. But if you’re not a good performer or super part time, this might not be the best place for you.

      Pros

      Great hourly pay with tips. Averaged about $38 to $40 an hour. Great starting place. They do offer training. The co-workers were nice at my location. Management does help you with flexible scheduling so if you have children, it works out great.

      Cons

      Burnout is real. Expected to complete service within an allotted short time. Too many clients come in that want expensive barbershop cuts but want to pay the lowest price (they really shouldn’t even go to sport clips for). Also, way too many clients with long hair wanting full scissor cuts. They won’t turn away clients even if the cuts they ask for are — are not something sport clips does or allows for a lot of time. TV’s get annoying after a while (too loud).
