Great Work, Decent Pay, Bad Management - Print and Marketing Specialist Staples Employee Review

Pros

Flexible Schedule and Supportive Coworkers. The pay was very nice for a part time job for an area in which I had little experience. It was around 16.50 an hour, although I do live in a big city and the Staples was in a shared border suburb. I was able to take off 1-2 weeks, if needed rather easily, as long as it did not overlap with others vacations.

Cons

My manager was highly unprofessional, which could be limited to location. In addition, while I was a good worker, the interview process was not thorough in my opinion. I was basically offered the job on a silver platter because the turnover is so high in the role. I think a better and relevant interview process would greatly improve this turnover.

Genuinely love working for Staples. They continue to innovate to stay competitive in the marketplace and be an industry leader while other competitors struggle. Leadership teams are supportive and transparent.

Cons

Frequent changes over past couple years
