Pros

- Incredibly rewarding work. - Nice offices. - Great place to build your network. - Good benefits (although salaries should be reviewed and adjusted regularly) - Great training programs - No lack of structure and defined procedures, for those who like that.

Cons

- Work/life balance is poor. - Lots of turnover which, in turn, poorly affects the work/life balance of those who choose to stay. - Not compensated for after-hours and weekend cases. - Too many levels of management - none of them are dedicated to their people, and somehow this is accepted in this organization. They are only there to advance their own careers. - Mako Product Specialists (MPS) are expected to take more and more sales representative responsibilities, with very little pay adjustment. - The lack of diversity (specifically POC) in field roles at Stryker is appalling.

Pros

The individual contributors you work with are fantastic people and the products we work on are really interesting and have significant impacts on patient care.

Cons

Sports Medicine has unfortunately changed from a dynamic and collaborative group to one being led by toxic leadership. Rather than working together and trusting team members, they now have an in group and out group. If you’re in the in group, you can say anything you want without being questioned and be automatically trusted even when your track record says otherwise. If you’re in the out group and your message doesn’t align with what the leadership wants to hear, then you are automatically wrong and not to be trusted.
