Pros

NONE, in light of Sutherland's abusive treatment of WAH employees. Beware, folks, this company doesn't pay WAH employees for time that they are supposed to (under state and federal FLSA law) for work such as reading emails, booting upcomputer, logging into Sutherland programs, etc.

Cons

Tells WAH employees to have Sutherland computer programs opened ONE HALF HOUR BEFORE logging onto the time recording for payroll purposes program. Employees who do that ARE NOT PAID FOR THE 1/2 HOUR A DAY (that's 5 hours of time not paid in a regular 2 week pay period of 5 days a week). Tells new WAH hires they will get two 15-min breaks in a 8 hour day, but then only puts ONE 15 min break on WAH employee's 8 hour schedule! Tells WAH employees that if they have to take a bathroom break during their shift, the employee must deduct minutes taken for the bathroom break from the (1) 15-min break on the employee's schedule (in an 8- hour work day; get real!) Sutherland call center workers must unionize to stop this crap! It's horrible!

Pros

Remote work and great coworkers

Cons

Extremely low pay for the amount of work and the type of calls that you have to deal with. Lots of mircomanaging. Unrealistic metrics. Lack of knowledge and competency from leadership because at no point should your workers know more than you about the job itself. No care for unforseen life circumstances that affect your ability to work. Very stressful and mentally exhausting which often leads to burnout. No recognition for hard work and meeting metric goals. Too hard to get PTO approved. Tech and internal systems are always breaking which affects your ability to do your job. No one is ever on the same page which often leads to being given incorrect information. No room for growth or opportunities to go into other roles. Benefits are not that great. Mid health insurance plans, no 401K match, no parental leave, and no internet reimbursements. They'll sell you a fairytale in training so BEWARE.
