The need for software/network security continues to expand exponentially... SIG should be the place to be and work if you are interested in security! So why does it continue to hemorrhage so many good employees? Some leave because they can’t take the culture any more, others are fired because they stand up to the culture and challenge the status quo. What is the culture? Stagnated ex-Coverity management’s need to hold on to power and their old world tools, processes, and attitudes to employees. Cold, cold, cold leadership from the top down especially in engineering. People promoted to roles they have no talent for. And we all know how insecure untalented people behave to keep control. Such a waste of a great opportunity for an amazingly expanding market. Sad!
