Pros

Large, well respected bank with a focus on the lower-end consumer. Trying to capture higher net worth customers with build out of wealth management, private banking and commerical, though the bank is not known for attracting these customer segments very well. Very good retail and small business products.

Cons

Confusing Employee Band/Grade structure. Can't jump by more than one Band at a time and earnings are capped with advancement. Questionable opportunity to advance even though there are Performance models in place that focus on employee growth and retention. Takes a very long time to move up. It's also hard to move from one line of business to another. Lots of layers of workers, needs to be streamlined with better managers who know how to manage, motivate and retain good employees. Too many young supervisors with little experience. Appears more middle managers are being eliminated due to cost reduction and regulatory, compliance and fee income pressures on revenue. Not a techology leader. Slow follower when it comes to Direct Channels.
