Pros

Depending on the team, can find some transparency and a great team culture.

Cons

Medical benefits are very high, non ADA compliant and don't cover everything. for $420 a month, there is a 20k deductible to be met before minimal things are covered (emergency room visits and physicals are the only things covered). The company pays 60% of market value wages to their consultants and pockets the rest. Recruiters are incentivized to continue to keep wages low to consultants. For consultants there is no PTO or sick time, no long or short term disability benefits, etc. My role had grown while I was working and I took on responsibilities of a Sr PM. I had asked for a raise to compensate for the additional responsibilities and was told that was something they couldn't or wouldn't do because it goes against their policies. When I asked my recruiter to help me find another role for more pay, I was put down and told I could never grow into another role or grow my career. Its disappointing TEK doesn't try to make an effort to take care of their consultants (the people bringing in the income) to keep them on. Honestly, this hurts the business more than anything.

Pros

Good opportunity to learn on the job. Able to meet with people in the industry both with TEKsystems and Microsoft. Good hands on experience with an AI data center

Cons

Sever lack of work 80% of days. Contract position got let go 3 months ahead of earliest anticipated date. Low overall responsibility within role (most contractors could only work basic tickets. Anything requiring more troubleshooting was reserved for full time employees). TEKsystems management was far removed from what was actually happening day to day onsite. Was led to believe that there would plenty of contract to hire positions when there were only a handful and were already taken.
