I think sometimes the company cares more about the providers that work for the company instead of the office personnel. The benefits are very comprehensive (medical, dental, 401k, etc.), but the quality of the benefits could be better as medical benefits are pricey and the coverage could be better. Communication from executive leadership could be a lot better. Employees are kept in the dark. I have heard that leadership in TN is much better and more transparent. We (every department) needs to learn how to work better together. Each department has different objectives but sometimes the stress of Emergency Medicine has employees from each department jumping at each others' throats. Ultimately we are all on the same team and should be more supportive of one another, not point the finger/throw a person under the bus. I think the culture of the company has changed since it was Emergency Physician Associates. The company is becoming very very corporate.
