Pros

offers healthcare and 401(k) options; easy to excel through mediocrity (low-effort job); i gave work/life balance two stars because the hours are decent but you take the job home with you because it makes you so unhappy. i didn't know a single person [outside of management] who didn't strongly dislike their job or the company in general

Cons

To quote Twitter user @Kaelashell3 "New hires be happy ... 😂😂 You bouta see why we was hiring 🤣." The turnover rate at TraceSecurity is high for a reason.. or rather, several reasons. Workplace culture is cliquey and childish because most workers have a penchant for spending their time gossiping and bringing their personal lives to work. Management is an absolute mess across the board with relatively no communication between departments or from those above them. The management of this position in particular is almost impossible to effectively communicate with seeing as they have no idea what's ever going on. Most hiring and promoting within the company is a direct result of nepotism and/or favoritism with little to no acknowledgement of actual work ethic, competence, or qualification. I'd actually say that mediocrity is more rewarded than actual effort here, so I guess that's actually a pro if you don't want to waste your time putting in effort. If you're desperate for cash this could be a role to idle in but I'd still take a job almost anywhere else over this place. Working here was a laughable waste of time and energy like the quoted tweet suggests.

Pros

They don’t know how to screen candidates for technical proficiency so it’s easy to get hired. If you learn something this could be a nice stepping stone, otherwise it’s like walking through the Bog of Eternal Stench.

Cons

Their entire C suite is a fraud, they’re pretend executives. They have no real HR, they use a 3rd party Door Dash HR service. Their average compensation is below median for entry level. Their managers operate in silos. Go read their “whitepaper” on ransomware and tell me these people are on the level. The author is one of their managers.
