Pros

You learn how to identify and subsequently avoid the most toxic managers and coworkers in existence.

Cons

To be clear, I am writing this review 10 years after having worked at TPT. The Account Manager role was my first job out of undergrad, and I was really excited to have seemingly found a position and company at the intersection of languages and business - two passions of mine. What I experienced in my 7 months working there can only be described as mental and emotional abuse which has taken a hospital stay and lots of therapy to process. I was belittled on a daily basis, had coworkers “tell” on me if I took more than a 5 minute lunch break, and was micromanaged to the point that I could barely wipe my you know what without asking permission. One time I even tipsily told a colleague in confidence that I wasn’t super happy at the firm, only to have my boss pull me into her office the next day to inform me that my admission had been promptly reported to her. You might ask, why, a decade on, I feel the need to write this review. The answer is that I want the more empowered young work force of today to assert boundaries that I never could. I certainly have done so in my fulfilling jobs and supportive companies since TPT, and I am the better for it. Never let a job or firm dictate your self-worth.

Pros

The work isn't too tough. The people in the office are skilled and pleasant. There are decent benefits and you can work from home for 2 days.

Cons

The pay is bad. Decent for when you first start but raises are small and infrequent. Bonuses are even smaller and more infrequent. We were fully remote but slowly have been forced back into office for no good reason.
