I have been working at Tyco full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They provide plenty of training on products and bring in manufacturer reps in to show new products. It's a very motivational rah-rah type of environment.

    Cons

The big downside is operations just doesn't deliver or take responsibility for their inability to deliver the installations. This is a huge drawback that results in having to spend too much time trying to save sales and numerous chargebacks for the salesperson.

    Advice to Management

Upper management really must focus on improving operations. They focus on the sales and promotions but not being able to deliver makes it a very stressful work environment.

I worked at Tyco full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Nothing here; I'm drawing a blank

    Cons

If you are thinking of going to work for these tools, take my advice.....about-face and run like you've never ran before. I was a twelve year employee, and I'm telling the truth when I say that leaving was one of the best moves that I have made.

    Advice to Management

Keep right on going down the road that you're on. I'm positive that if you keep repeating the same dumb mistakes over and over that one day you will wake up and the outcome will be different. You live by that philosiphy, but I never drank the coolaid and bought into it. But hey, what ever floats your boat.
