Pros

There are none. Maybe the vending machines...wait nope those are always broken too. I would say the employees below me are awesome people! The hourly union workers are great.

Cons

Hands down worst company to work for. I had higher expectations for a national company with so many years behind them. If your black or female they will hire you just because it makes them look good. They will treat you like dirt, supervisors above you will harass you, say inappropriate things, make fun of you for believing in god, or having blonde hair and a big butt and when you report it...they do nothing! When your belt is the top ranking belt with the best number for months running, instead of them recognizing your hard work they shoot you down and tell you to do better and to not get complacent while everyone around you does a crappy job and they get high fives again cuz I'm the only woman in the building on the load line. When they see you trying your hardest and all the employees prefer to work for you over any other supervisor the supervisors above you yell at you because you "have no clue what your doing" i dont recommend this job to anyone that is female at all!!!! Not to mention they pay dirt compared to other companies around us that do the exact same trade! Ill be moving on very soon!

Pros

The pay is excellent .health care is 100 % paid with 100 %coverage...with exception to eye and dental which is about 70%..coverage...pension is outstanding..full package with wages and benefits is worth 130,000 yearly..without a college education I am grateful for the standard of living UPS HAS AFFORDED ME AND MY FAMILY!...and with 27 years of service I now get 6 weeks vacation with 8 sick days..and 9 paid holidays...we work hard like many people in the work force but we are well compensated!.

Cons

The only con is while your children are young you give up a lot of family time..I never got to watch my kids play sports and missed a lot of their growing years...the job can be hard on your home life but if you can make it through those years you and your family will enjoy the financial freedom that UPS provides...and now I look forward to a prosperous retirement!...so hang in there all you young drivers...
