Pros
- great teammates - feel as if my job is safe in current area to any downsizing - my team does work on latest technology like AWS (we were first in our unit to implement AWS) - never short of work on my team - recently my area has implemented a 9 day 80 hour schedule so i get every other friday off and its amazing
Cons
- business drives everything and decides what priorities are which is not an ideal model because we fall way behind on maintenance work - tech leading can be a death sentence to your technology growth unless you do something to control it. I have struggled to get my hand in the code because i am too busy with meetings or assisting my team on items - meetings... meetings.... meetings... oh right after lunch... meetings
