Pros

The checks never bounced. There aren't any other pros I can think of. Beware the vacation policy sucks. If you don't negotiate it on the way in (which is 2 weeks standard), then you have to wait an entire year to get it. Unless you negotiate more...there is no consistency.

Cons

Terrible Management. No communication. Did mass layoffs after celebrating the annual founder's day...what a joke. No appreciation for employees. A lame $30 gift card for Christmas that you get taxed on. Bonuses just for Supervisors and Managers. Corporate is like a high school environment. Better find your click and quick. Oh and know who to sit with at lunch. 6 holidays, 2 floaters. You have to beg to be let out early before major holidays...and then the CEO graciously lets people out at 3pm. It's definitely run like a mom and pop shop. There is nothing good about this company. So glad I left. I just want to warn people who are thinking of working at Corporate. VERY LOW SALARIES...WAY BELOW MARKET. If you want minimum wage...then by all means work there. I wish I would have know then, what I know now....you wonder why it takes so long to fill jobs and why people keep leaving.

Pros

Upper management genuinely cares about their team, and the hiring process is simple and straightforward. Base pay and the monthly stipend are both fair, and I appreciate the company's structure — questions get answered quickly, and you have dedicated team member support. I also like that the role is self-managing, with CDR handling pricing and deal structuring so you can focus on your own performance. Overall, this company really takes care of its employees.

Cons

The pay structure for this role is a bit unique — after a sale closes, the CDR earns commission for the first few months, and then commission transitions over to the drive team. It's certainly not a deal-breaker, just an observation, and I'm not knocking the company for it. All in all, I had a wonderful experience at UniFirst.
