      Pros

      Stable work environment that translates to being employable anywhere you need to move in the country. Good people with flexible shift options to meet family needs. Advancement opportunities exist. Retirement and investment benefits are better than most companies similar sized.

      Cons

      Work/life balance is challenging as an hourly associate. Shifts in certain positions have varied hours each week to meet payroll demands. Families with kids may find more challenges with balance due to illnesses, school holidays, and child-care needs. Health care benefits are overall pretty weak in general.

      Pros

      Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

      Cons

      Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
