Pros

+ Compensation is competitive + Decent growth and acceleration if you move between teams and not stay in the same team + Comparable to other companies, you can phone it in / work at a constant 70% and still do well. + Looks good on the resume depending on the department + Campus is decent + Attractive people, seems like physical attractiveness is preferred on the business side + Decently diverse, LGBTQ+, race, gender, and etc... actually surprising. More so then their parent company (ISD / Brick and Mortar / Bentonville)

Cons

- Pay is good but benefits are lacking (no snacks, free food, unlimited PTO is just for show etc...) - No alcohol or cussing only applies for Directors and lower, if you're Sr. Dir and up they don't care - 1 on 1 / 1:1 are formalities, associates in other department say the same thing. - Parking is a joke still even after a massive lay off, if you find a parking spot you'll most likely get a dent or scratch - Company and Department goals are a giant moving target, changing almost every 6 months - Bonus isn't fair, Sr. Directors and up are basically guaranteed bonuses and RSU no matter how badly the company does - No culture, and even joking about culture gets reprimanded and when recruiters poach they mention they pay competitive since WM Culture is lacking. - CEO has stated numerous times that he has no faith in the teams before joining - Highly political, very. Saving face is more important than actual work performance. - 60+ hrs from Oct - Feb with no compensation - Massive lay offs every year in the dotcom side, and maybe every 6 mo for overall company (ISD / brick and mortar) - Really high turnover naturally

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I am glad to see some of the pros you have listed in your review. It is always great to hear about growth and career development as we do strive to create opportunities and clear career paths for our associates. I can also agree we do have a diverse workplace, and feel this has brought a good amount of innovation and creativity to our group. Regarding the other feedback, it concerns me to see the negative experience that is being shared. In our ecommerce lifestyle we are constantly evolving and changing with the time. We do our best to keep department goals consistent overtime, but they may have to be slightly adjusted depending on our company goals. This is very similar to our culture as well. Our culture is the foundation of what we do and is defined by our values. We pride ourselves on our values of service, respect, excellence, and integrity, and believe these have been essential components to who we are today. We strive to treat each induvial with respect and be inclusive. This also leads to your feedback regarding office politics, which is something I feel strongly against and firmly believe we should act with integrity and treat each other with fairness. What you have mentioned in your review today, is definitely not the experience we want you to have while working with us at Walmart. I appreciate your advice to us. We hold our leaders to high expectations and encourage engagement with each department/team. If you would like to talk through this in more detail please come see me. - Becky S.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
