Pros

The DC's have excellent pay, at least in my area. There are great chance for advancement, to a certain level if you don't mind kissing up.

Cons

Ineffecient management. Promotions based on a** kissing, not on performance or intelligence Say they are "Family Oriented" but then expect you to be available whenever they need you to work overtime. If you have something planned and they suddenly get busy, you are expected to drop your plans even if you have been scheduled off. Scheduling time off is very difficult most of the time. Employees are TOLD they are replaceable! They aren't treated as people, but as "things" that are there to get the job done. If one's broken, toss it to the side and bring in another one.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
