Good enough to pay the bills. You get out what you put in. - Meat Produce Team Lead Walmart Employee Review

Pros

Decent pay, good coworkers, good promotion opportunities, availability adjustments, points system for attendance (good if you keep up on it), challenging job (it's a LOT, but the tasks are relatively simple), 401K, health and dental plans are better than even college teachers get, and whole bunch of other stuff!

Cons

Hours can be brutal if you don't have a good manager that works with you, not a lot of teaching/training when you get the position (or it's there online but you don't have time to do it), high expectations that can be difficult to deliver, not enough staff, staff can be difficult to work with if you're in management (very "anti-management" environment)

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
