Pros
This job will pay the bills and, technically, offers advancement opportunities.
If it's remote, it's worth it if you need a job. If you get in as of May 2026, you might even be able to stick it out long enough to see if they address any of the issues they have.
Cons
Whirlpool was, as of me leaving, fully embracing the AI death spiral. They have committed themselves fully to trying to solve their chronic turnover issue by investing in everything but adding more budget to get more employees.
If you interview for this position, make sure to ask if the person who you are replacing 1) left with more responsibilities than were part of their role's scope at the start (clarify that you, of course, mean after they were fully trained) and 2) if their pay increased as a result.
