Pros
The few kids you connect with, very few.
Cons
1. The Pay One thing is that when you inquire about the job you are given an estimate (mine was 9-10). I was given 7. I thought "well maybe I can negotiate this and get an 8 (still under the estimation that their website told me" I was was greeted with a STRONG "NO". I provided a reason as to why I was qualified for the pay boost. I still was met with a "NO". 2. Culture Look you have to understand once you accept this job you don't hold any value. You are disposable and can be replaced SO QUICK. I thought that I would really enjoy doing this and I do but there's no value. I joined a Facebook group hoping to find a sense of community but all people do is complain and when I ask genuine questions I was met with snarky remarks or comments. 3. Ratings/Unpaid work So one thing is you're supposed to maintain a rating of 9.3 or higher anything below that will get your account suspended until you finish REQUIRED EXTRA TRAINING. Which you are NOT PAID FOR. You are also NOT PAID FOR your on-boarding which is 2 hours, you are NOT PAID for doing your TOESL certificate which is 4 hours. You are NOT PAID for any additional trainings. 4. Recruiter Ok so I won't call her out by name but I was pretty much sold by her she did a GREAT job at making me think that I would be met with more Pro's than Con's. This was very misleading. This however is just MY OPINION. I'm not sure if she gets a bonus for enrolling me. If she does this explains why which sucks that I was a blind sheep to this tactic. 5. PAY PAY PAY So if you're reading this, this might be your breaking point. OK so lets get started lets say you make 10/per 25 min session thats about 20/hour.....well thats GREAT right???? Not quiet...I'm from the USA (California) and since this is a contract position they do not take out ANY TAXES which means you have to save ~25% of that .....so you are actually making 15/ hour or 7.5 per 25min session. So dont be fooled by the sticker price. Now with all that being said if you are in the need for money, do it. If this is something you are doing for quick cash DO NOT DO IT. This will eat at you. I want to quit RIGHT NOW but I'm afraid of doing it and not getting paid. (This is actually in your contract if you don't put your two weeks they "could" withhold ALL YOUR MONEY)
