I worked at Enerflex full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Enerflex (Totomont) when it started in houston was a family like company with a Team like feel that was led by a great leader . Unfortunately that leader (Jerry F) retired and down hill from there

    Cons

Managment takes credit for what the true workers do and pats themselves on the back. They don't listen and are the most arrogant people. Over the last four years, all the people that made Enerflex great have left. There is NO room to advance .

    Advice to Management

Managment needs to respect its employees and give them tools to be sucselful .

I worked at Enerflex full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Enerflex has a very laid back atmosphere, and casual dress code. The manufacturing facility is extremely nice.

    Cons

The morale in the company has been steadily declining since the market turned in late 2014. Between the layoffs and the employees that have voluntarily left, the company is hemorrhaging employees. This only makes the morale lower, as the remaining employees seem to have an ever increasing work load. The work life balance has been especially poor lately, and the pay does not reflect the increased workload and responsibility of many employees. As people have left, there is a growing sense of disorganization and a general lack of direction at the company.

    Advice to Management

Leadership needs to do something to address the low morale of many workers. Empower and encourage your leaders to hold team building activities. Leadership also needs to address the root cause of the poor employee retention experienced lately. There needs to be more emphasis on planning, especially on large projects. Poor performing employees, that repeatedly make mistakes that cost the company money need to be re-trained or removed from their positions.

I have been working at Enerflex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work/Life balance is pretty good. I enjoy my work and coworkers.

    Cons

Direction of the company is a bit confusing right now. Internal hiring and promotions have been at a standstill for far too long.

    Advice to Management

Promote more from within and consider pay raises this year.

I worked at Enerflex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The hours during the high oil prices
The group of workers that become family over time
The chance to improve on your skill set and grow
Paid lunch while on night shift - changed in 2014

    Cons

Management - Some are just bullies (meaning ripping your doc excuse right in front of your face)
Write up for every little thing if you're not on their butt kissing side (being on the phone while not on shop floor, not following a procedure not shared to the group)
Leadman only worries about their core group instead of being a brothers keeper that safety and Hr promotes

    Advice to Management

There are leaders and some are just pushers in the shop floor. Workers will respect a hell of a lot more if they were with a leader in their group than just a pushy manager wanting things done even if cutting corners on safety.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the people you still have other companies will value them as well.
