Pros
As a fairly recent hire, I've been delighted to find myself surrounded by talented yet humble, hard-working, and extraordinarily friendly coworkers. People are genuinely nice, and I've never been part of a more transparent and open corporate culture. Leadership genuinely encourages growth and places a high value on continued learning and rewarding hard work. And of course the company offers the industry-standard perks - great benefits, fun team bonding opportunities like happy hours & picnics, etc. My favorite part about this company is that you can walk through the office on any given day at any time, and you'll get a sense of this intangible vibrancy and passion that is unique to EverString. Our leaders only hire the most passionate, driven people and it definitely shows. Joining a new company can be daunting, and frankly, I was initially hesitant to accept the offer. I'm so relieved that my experience so far has been nothing short of stellar, and I can say with confidence that I made the right decision.
Cons
As is the case with most startups, EverString has some growing pains to work out. There is a lot to accomplish with every role, in every department. I personally look at this as a challenge, and I love a good challenge! However, if you aren't ready and willing to roll up your sleeves and tackle the work, you will not thrive in this environment.

Amazing company with awesome people
Nov 10, 2016 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I have loved working at EverString for the past 18 months. The company culture has been immensely refreshing and they are really invested in my career growth. I have had the opportunity to take on all kinds of new areas of work and have learned a ton from my mentors at the company. I am given the space and trust to work autonomously and encouraged to take on new challenges outside of my core job description. EverString has both a strong commitment to the social good within the company and a philanthropic commitment also. They have done an excellent job at creating a friendly culture and from day one I felt welcomed by people from each of the teams. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to see the impact of their work and join an exciting start-up with good people.
Cons
I have worked at multiple start-ups in the valley and you are always going to see change and some instability. This is part of what it means to take the risk of joining a start-up rather than being part of an anonymous enterprise. EverString is growing and learning its way but this is exactly what I have seen in the last two start-ups I worked with and they went on to be immensely successful.

Pros
Smart people, great solution and incredible culture, Everstring hits all the marks. This is the 5th software I have worked for and is by far the best professional experience I ever had. All members of the Everstring team is intelligent, motivated and has a great personality. This has spawned an environment where everyone is eager to help one another and optimism prevails. This is just part of what drives our excellence and makes the culture so great. The leadership team is stellar and cares deeply about their employees. This includes our Head of People and Culture, HR and our Office Manager who are amazing people that dedicate their days to ensuring we are happy, healthy and have all the tools we need to succeed. A true testament to their work are the smiles that employees have on their faces throughout the week and all the nights we stay late because we simply just don't want to leave. Best way to sum up the Everstring experience.... it is like a breath of fresh air.
Cons
We are growing so fast that we have some growing pains... like not enough conference rooms sometimes. This is just temporary though until we upgrade our space.

Pros
love working here having fun high integrity people high energy team building something worth building awesome mission and people being part of something big from early on has emerged as biggest company in the market which is cool being part of a winning team lots of experienced people from marketing tech and sales tech to learn from founders are super hard working and set standards by example
Cons
every startup has uncertainties and there are a lot more changes here than in a mature company some big company mindset people wont do well here as its fast moving pace and no whenever a company is doing big things and taking big risks there will some haters who want to make it seem bad, but this really is a great team and high quality people. a few hiring mistakes, but every company has some and Everstring management is committed to clearing out any nonperformers promptly, which is really appreciated by all the high performers.....which is most people here. its funny to read some of the other reviews since its pretty obvious who wrote the negative ones and they were almost all nonperformers who are sour graping

Nothing but Positivity @ EverString
May 9, 2018 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I have only been at EverString for a short while, but I have nothing but great things to say about this company already. From the moment I started, I was greeted with warm welcomes and provided the necessary tools/resources to execute my job to the best of my abilities. Since being here, I have already seen some of my co-workers get promoted within their department or take on new leadership roles within other departments at EverString. Compensation is fair, and the company has a great policy for their workers regarding any sick, vacation, or personal time needed out of the office. I am not only excited about my future endeavors here but the company's overall vision/goal, as well. We all preach "One team, One goal" here, and I would be more than willing to go out of my way to help anyone that works for EverString or has an affiliation with the company, for any reason.
Cons
As of now, I have nothing negative to say about this company. The only thing is in the future, I feel we might need more space due to expansion.

Nascent professionals exploring the market
Nov 14, 2016 - Anonymous Employee in San Mateo, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Small team backed by well-known investors with people willing to give that extra to create an impact, offering you lot of responsibility and experience to build a company ground up Organizational support for using the best available tools, human expertise and services for your job if needed Transparent and open company culture Decently stocked kitchen with catered food for free Competitive perks and company-wide celebrations
Cons
Narrow minded HR outlook with acute interest in cutting burn rate and evidence of distrust in own employees. For instance, flexible time-offs are monitored at fine granularity, there is an air of discouragement to work from home or take time offs. Appraisals/increments are rare, incompetitive and apparently compromised by unduly title promotions. Office space is evidently empty with frequent employee terminations (voluntary and involuntary) Upper management can be best described as nascent owing to the flaky strategies and decision-making which is yet to meet expectations from an industry leader with promising VC funds

Your comment about FTA (Flexible Time Away) is interesting, as we no longer track the time people take off. Our FTA program is our way of saying we trust our people. I love your comment about people - people do come first. If you are still with the company, please come over and talk with me and we will see if we can straighten things out. - Scott Broomfield, COO/CFO

Pros
I have absolutely loved being a part of the EverString team over the course of the last year. I was made to feel welcome from the very start and the staff truly cares about the work they are doing. Members of the leadership team have provided positive feedback on my performance and have supported me in my professional growth. The fast paced environment ensures that I am constantly challenged while still allowing me to have a work/life balance. I was concerned about joining a startup initially but this has been one of the best decisions I could have made for myself and my family.
Cons
There has been some turnover, but it is clear why those people are gone and why the remaining talent is still here. Top talent is rewarded, acknowledged and promoted.
