    Pros

Good work environment, nice offices, good location, competitive salaries and benefits, long-lived products, opportunity to work with overseas offices.

    Cons

The company has limited opportunities for sales growth, products have to operate in the highly structured telecom world, lots of legacy products and code to be maintained, complications due to work being distributed across three continents.

    Pros

Flexibility in work schedule; recognition of the complexity of the job and the fact that work doesn't simply "happen" in 40 hours a week, 8-5. The "Office Moms" were the best benefit ever... ordering lunch, keeping the break rooms stocked. I loved the work environment... good conference rooms, good offices, good technology. I had a great staff at Evolving systems.

    Cons

Finance, mediocre management decisions... promotion of female managers was limited - and their titling and positions seemed to rank below thier peers. Perhaps too much attention was given to individual offices and benefits, and not enough to keeping the company afloat.

    Advice to Management

    none

    Pros

You have to complete everything by ur own. No KT no design discussion. Do everything on your own. They don't bother about performance and best practices. Complete the work of 3 months in just 10 days by providing the working code. They don't bother about the structure of code and performance. They can fire you anytime, not because of ur performance, only to reduce the cost.

    Cons

No job security. 14 hrs of work daily. Politics. You have to handle multiple projects simultaneously or partially.

    Advice to Management

They don't care. So it will be wastage of time to give any.

I have been working at Evolving Systems full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1. Approach towards young talented professionals.
    2. Multiple vertical of technologies with different skill-sets requirement.
    3. Product based company;
    4. Salary : 15% to 20% Above market standards
    4. Introduction of core group conceptualisation that is working on product development and upgrades that are highly inclined to Machine Learning.
    5. Getting rid of non-productive / high cost / technologically downgraded resources. Recent terminations of few mid to top level managers across few department have managed to raise the bar on resource efficiency platform.

On the other end , recruitment is happening in two fold ways : Mid to Sr level recruitment of super creative highly experienced individuals to re-vamp the engineering division | simultaneous recruitment of fresh smart young talents who can be mentored by these sr officials in high end technologies.

Overall the company approached has changed : Its simple and transparent : "You are here to work and not formulating conspiracy theories against the company. Your job is on the technical aspect so concentrate on those. Don't try to dive into deep waters pertaining to management decisions. Just go with the flow"
Off-course there were few who did not understand the ideology...Thereby proved to be inefficient ... so have been terminated. Nothing wrong in it.

Acquisition of SSM in Oct 2015 had resulted in increase of revenue by 31.75% ; else why should somebody acquire a company? One of the high value project in Evolving history came from that acquisition and its on the run.

I feel sorry for those who write rave reviews against our organization ; and still be shameless enough to claim salary and all benefits from us. If you guys have so much of issues with the company, then why are you still here? Bangalore is a city of opportunities ..and i expect you guys to be talented enough ( or am i having a wrong impression?) . You cannot be spitting on your own plate...is nt it?

To those who are confused..... if you are looking for work / timely salary , benefits and technological advancement please join us... and if you are looking for a govt office environment within a IT company...Evolving is not the place ( it was .. but not now ).

    Cons

The changeover in the management and towards organisation goal was too quick and too harsh to digest for few. Obviously a sense of insecurity has developed across the league. But that is only applicable for non-performers and "not so flexible " kind.

The introduction of agile /lean methodology of working is always challenging ..especially in an always relaxed / laid back environment..This has definitely created some kind of uneasiness among the team members. But that is temporary I suppose.

Currently the organisation is facing some serious issues in recruitment ( thanks to these odd reviews by the 'loyal comrades ' ). As a result resource planning is getting affected.

    Advice to Management

We should try to analyse and solve issues ..one at a time..rather than plunging in all of them.

Be more interactive with employees ... let them speak ..through town hall or quarterly meets probably... up front ...rather than writing rave reviews on Glass-door ....out of frustrations.

I have been working at Evolving Systems full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Looks like Evolving is settling down. Yes - there were some turmoil in past. But now I could see exciting changes are happening. All the rumours which were floated around has been proved wrong.

So here is the story-line : Good environment, easy to approach to the higher management with your thoughts, problems or with the solutions. At least they will listen. Highly co-operative colleagues, HR and Management gives you respects and recognition. This company is not for those who wants to do the same monotonous jobs and will not think about the future growth. The management encourages and evolves new technology whether it is product or services. One thing you will learn here... and which is "Dynamic Role handling". And if you are ready to adapt or learn something new, this is the right place for you.

    Cons

As far as an employee is concern, he/she should be bothered about 3 things. 1. Working on updated technology, 2. salary and benefits on time and 3. Scope of growth. Having these 3 option available in plenty.... I don't find any Cons as such. Change in the management has brought some confusion in to people's mind but at the end of the day we are petty soldiers - we shouldn't be bother about management decisions and new initiatives.

    Advice to Management

Recruitment of fresh and young talents. Requirement of a new office space

    Pros

Company has become much more employee friendly. Big award ceremony with large cash grants covered almost half the company. Rs. 5 Lakh education grant announced. Referral bonus to bring experienced employees. CEO announced Expert Managed Services and incentive for Project Team. Stand up meetings so everybody knows what to do.

    Cons

Things are changing too rapidly. Agile development means you are moving at high speed and have to give deliverables. Old people left. Too many new people being hired. Freshers are being given direct customer projects.

    Advice to Management

Need more employee bonding events. We used to go offsite for 2-3 days for Leadership training. Also need road map for core products.

Daily meetings to sort out issues and complete the projects on time.

    Cons

Products are having pretty old technologies ,its good if management start upgrading products.
It should be shifted to some nice tech park.

I have been working at Evolving Systems full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Recently they acquired a Romania based company. As of now, we can't say is it a pro or con. As Evolving Systems failed in last three acquisition decisions.

    Cons

    1. The approach towards cost cutting, so hiring fresh graduates with minimum packages.
    2. You will not be restricted to one technology, you will be forced to work on different projects. At the end, you can't even learn one technology completely.
    3. It was a product based company, now it's turned into a services company.
    4. Management unable to pay the salaries to experienced people that's why they have fired many UK and India folks.
    5. Now no one in the company knew about the core product, all are just patching and maintaining the existing product.
    6. So may layoffs in past 2 yrs, because changes in the business model and no profits.

Overall the company approach has changed due to changes in the top management. Moving towards services business, closed two branch offices in the UK. Management has no intention to enhance the existing product or to invest on R&D team. So they have fired all senior/experienced resources, now they are just behind getting the services(expert manage services) business from the existing customers.

In past 3 years, Evolving Systems has acquired 4 companies. Three among them are failures. Acquiring SSM was the biggest mistake ever done by the stakeholder/management. They bought some cheap excel product for 10 million dollars. No revenue out of any of those acquisitions. Someone in the investor's group has influenced to acquire that. Even the new acquisition also seems to happen in the same way, there are quite a few articles in recent times available on the internet about the company. In earlier acquisitions, they used to scrap the product if there is no revenue out of it, but this time they have stopped the development of evolving products and trying to scrap it because the CEO is from SSM company.

Feel very sorry for those who are writing positive reviews in this kind of situations. Management forced them to write positive reviews. And the family business continuing in this company, recently they have hired a VP level employee from his family. Still doubt how can they hire a family member in a public listed company?
All non-technical people at the top positions and they will decide your performance. Bangalore office became the worst place to work.
New management harassing the employees like anything. Recently there is a rule like you have to stay in the office for 9 hrs, if not you have to compensate those hours on weekends. If you want to take a leave you need to draft a letter to the manager and get it signed and submit to Management. Is it an elementary school or IT company? Anyhow an ex-professor, won't get any better ideas other than this, all micro-management activities. Many people left the company because of management issues, including the HR. Hire and fire is the new company strategy, don't fell for attractive packages and spoil your career. People who left the organization are now working in very good companies, so it clearly says that management has fired them because they are not able to pay them, not because of their performance.
As the existing people doesn't have the product knowledge, management tried to hire the ex-employees to train the freshers. But no one has shown interest to board this sinking ship.

The intention is not to write bad about the company, its to write the fact about the company. The company has given very good opportunities earlier, but it's all past. It was a good company, but not now.

    Advice to Management

    Dear Management,
Do you think people are fools? It's a public listed company and your revenue/activities are transparent. I don't whom you are trying to fool with this kind of fake reviews. Earlier management used to conduct a meeting every quarter and announce the results and discuss the company roadmap/goals. Now you don't have dare to present the results in front of employees as there are no genuine profits. only profits because of reducing the operational costs. Why are you not able to show the profits and operational costs in terms of product wise? As there are no profits out of SSM project, only investment.
When evolving acquired SSM, it took $ 10 Million Bank Loan.
After that, you have closed two offices in the UK and fired many people all over the globe to compensate it. Still, you didn't repay the loan, and you have acquired Business Logic Systems, now what is the loan amount? Are you trying to pull the company to the bank corrupt? Every one of us are working for the company for so many years and we have all the rights to know about the company goals and revenue details.
