I have been working at First Horizon full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I work for an excellent group within First Horizon. We are very tight-knit and work well together. Our team leader has done a great job of building this team and as a result made this a a far more enjoyable job than I thought.

    Cons

Upper management can get in its own way and can make simple day to day tasks more cumbersome than needed. However, all things considered, this is not a big deal.

I worked at First Horizon full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good people at your immediate side. Paid training, individuality allowed to be expressed in dress and desk decor. Diverse employees with internal support groups for women and minorities. Actually decently competitive pay. Opportunities for advancement to other internal departments. Tuition reimbursement offered.

    Cons

Used to be focused on customers and employees but have lost sight recently of caring for their entire community. Very poor healthcare options and don't care for employee health as much as bodies in seats. Disappointing COVID-19 response. Not very diverse management. Tend to punish everyone for issues rather than address problems with individuals. A lot of values are claimed but not actually practiced. Huge favoritism issues when it comes to disciplinary action and advancement. PTO and sick time offerings are not competitive.

I worked at First Horizon full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

They mean it when they say they appreciate candor. I never felt pressured to simply say what the leadership wanted to hear. Coworkers tended to be more professional than at other banks where I have worked.

    Cons

Retail banking employees are treated very poorly by people in other roles, even by the people whose jobs are to support branch employees. There is a lot of inter-departmental rivalry. The policies and expectations can vary widely from market-to-market.
