    Pros

fast paced, easy work, order taker

    Cons

In this tech climate, you're better off gaining sales development skills as an SDR, developing real sales experience that can be transferred to a Saas market. It will also pay more.

I have been working at Flashbay full-time

    Pros

Good co-workers and atmosphere, great work life balance, good coffee machine

    Cons

Immediate managers act like children, bonus structure is convoluted and often favors the senior sales reps. Upper management has limited-to-no interaction with the US team making all decisions appear wild and punishing to those who follow the rules already.
Steer clear of managers when they are upset, it will get you on a list.
    The office reeks of favoritism.

    Advice to Management

Treat your sales people like adults, they may surprise you.
Stop enforcing rules for only some of the employees, this just weakens morale.
Oh, and stop posting fake reviews on Glassdoor, it's just petty when you respond to any non-5 star review with a canned response..

    Pros

    Easy work.
    Decent pay
    Good hours
    2 weeks off in December!

    Cons

Employees have no say (All decisions made by owner)
Owner changes mind too many times (gives contradicting instructions)
    Micromanage

    Advice to Management

Go back to General Patton's quote: "Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity."

I worked at Flashbay full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - nice offices
    - nice team mates
    - occasional free lunches and summer/ christmas events
    - free tea and coffee
    - relatively easy sell as there is no cold calling

    Cons

    - false advertising of OTE
    - poor base salary
    - look for ways to not pay commission
    - micro management
    - big brother feel (emails being read and calls being listened to, then being scrutinised for EVERYTHING)
    - make a mountain out of a molehill. Small mistakes are blown way out of proportion
    - ZERO progression opportunity
    - negative attitude all through the company
    - extremely high staff turnover
    - KPIs don't take into consideration that a call could take a long time or you could have a constant long email conversation with a client, so you end up sending pointless emails or calls to automated numbers to make sure you don't get taken off new leads.

The list goes on and on for cons for Flashbay

    Advice to Management

If you're going to post anymore fake reviews, avoid using the word "dynamic". Nobody who reviews a company, regardless of what it is, would say that.
    Give your staff more credit.
Think about targets and bonus incentives per country. Some markets are stronger than others and a lot of hardworkers miss out.
Don't jump on a staff member for making a mistake, even more so, when something goes wrong that is out of their control.

I worked at Flashbay (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice colleagues (although they get no respect from management)

I have to write 20 word pros but there is no more to say.

    Cons

Incredibly high staff turnover. Management doesn't care about their employees. Bullying, threats and micro management. No career advancement. Lower commission than promised due to higher cost prize and more employees hired for same market share.

Whether you're senior staff or New, it is the same. The job doesn't change, no respect. It is simply horrible and I'd not recommend it to anyone.

    Advice to Management

    Honestly. They wouldn't care.

    Pros

uncapped commissions, fixed hours, weekends off.

    Cons

if the boss don't like you, you're out. no warning. nothing.

    Advice to Management

give out warnings. don't just terminate people. give them due process. that is the professional way.

I worked at Flashbay full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Lots of structure
    Good bonuses/commission (at the time)
    Great visibility of performance
    Sales oriented

    Cons

Working under eccentric management (founders). No use of a management structure to deflect negativity. Working everyday not knowing if your number will be up for something perfectly reasonable.

    Advice to Management
