Trapped with your supervisor with no escape. Awful company. Too bad it's under the Farmers brand.

    Pros

Part of farmers which is a great company. Career options, bonuses, props points that are taxed and allow you to buy things from gift certificates to electronics is nice. Foremost as it's own company - ...... Absolutely nothing. Needs to be dissolved.

    Cons

I was hired by farmers onto the foremost specialty side. I was excited because family talk about how they joke around and interact in their team chat rooms. When they get on different shifts they also get new teams. There are options for career development and the ability to do it. They give you time. I was thinking it was going to be like the farmers side - family work on that side. Totally wrong. Foremost is terrible. There is no inclusion whatsoever. You try and connect to others and you get reprimanded for not working. It's call, call, call. If you are in after call wrap up too long, they harass you. If you mess up because systems aren't updated as they should be, they make it your fault. There is no personal responsibility from the mgmt team. They stalk your personal chats with others. You try and reach out for emotional help and you're sharing too much. You are stuck with the same supervisor regardless of shift. They give you no time for career development. They make stupid excuses as to why you can't move to a different position. Virtual with this company is exactly that and nothing more. Don't expect to make friends easily. If you want to apply for another job, make sure your supe likes you and you let them know or they'll give a bad review. If you have future scheduled days off and run out of pto due to meing sick, they make you retract your pto instead of just having it unpaid. It also doesn't matter how well you did because if your attendance is bad and not protected by fmla because you haven't been there a year or longer, they only rate you on the fact that you had poor attendance, not how you did well with agents or customers. If you try and reach out to someone higher, you are sharing too much and just need to deal with it. If you try and help others you may get reprimanded because you are helping too much and need to let someone else help. If you want to go above and beyond you can get into trouble because you aren't letting the systems work as intended.

Decent Place To Work - Unreasonable Expectations

    Pros

Great salary and benefits packages, including PTO and bonuses. You can make your own schedule and run your own territory.

    Cons

They kept adding states to my territory. It was a lot to learn (every state has very different and specific insurance laws) and didn't give me any time to learn it. I had to travel so much that the salary wasn't worth it and it became extremely stressful and finally I had to find anther job.
