Pros

Some genuinely smart people who want to make a difference.

Cons

Really bad management teams. They know a lot of the ongoing issues but refuse to do anything because the management are mostly related to one another. Terrible managers are promoted to VP. Pay is below standard

Pros

-Flexible hours: Mondays and Fridays WFH option! Also willing to give time-off for travel, considering it was Summer Break (very generous) -Flexible end-date to accommodate class schedules -Awesome Intern Programming: Weekly enrichment meetings for personal and professional growth. -Networking Opportunities and group and 1:1 conversations/lunches with Company Leaders -Opportunities to explore other departments/fields and learn more about the Insurance Industry -Many interns received subsequent job offers (full-time or part-time accommodating for school) -Program is small enough to feel tight-knit but still growing every year -Genuinely felt like they wanted us to succeed and to invest in our futures -Monthly Social Events -Service Opportunities! -Kind and Supportive management and family-like company culture -Competitive Pay for an internship! -Very down-to-earth attitude

Cons

-Still a relatively new program, some departments (including mine) had not hired interns before, so depending on your department the quality of daily work could vary immensely. Most of us always had projects to do, but others complained they were bored and watched Netflix at their desks. -Relatives/Referrals prioritized in hiring, however as someone who knew no one here I was never made to feel like an outsider. Kinda expected for a private company though.

Pros

Some management is ok, pay is good.

Cons

If you have an incompetent manager expect to get emails weekly from them that make no sense (they send the them to “cover their butts”) have no training, the company has no standards and practices on paper. Constant changes that aren’t published makes it impossible to succeed.
