I have been working at GEP full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Thoughtful leadersip
    - Family Values, engaged owners
    - Exposure to multiple industries and clients based on assignments, over time
    - Employees are treated well

    Cons

    - Lots of travel is part of the deal, just like any other consultancy role
    - Promotions seem to have become very structured, leading the smaller, family owned organization to become more corporate, more standardized than initially expected

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work

I worked at GEP full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent and ambitious people to work with. Limited bureaucratic agendas. Very reasonable immediate management who have been around the block and understand the true nature of the business
Middle and upper management are the fundamental key players in sustaining turn overs. Great people to work with.

    Cons

Highest level of management have not been around manufacturing start-ups. Compartmentalized directions given from the top of management, resulting in conflicting business agendas to upper management, which further cascades controlled, somewhat avoidable confusion to middle management.

    Advice to Management

We must believe in the product more than we do. Perhaps we ought to realize that in the limited business space we are, customers will wait for our goods and we need not go from 0 to 60 in 3 seconds flat all the time.
