I have been working at GEP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

At GEP people genuinely care about working together to have success and make it easier to do without lots of red tape or unnecessary steps. That is why things seem to get done here. It's rapid growth makes it a fast-pace, high energy environment but through the days filled with hustle, the relationships you see across the employees and the feeling of a 'one team' culture is like no other I've experienced. Individuality...

    Cons

You have to constantly be learning while doing because new products, ideas and clients come along daily. That can be scary as a newer employee but the learning tools and people to mentor are there you just have to seek them out.

    Advice to Management

Continue to take the time to cross-train and move people internally across teams so the career opportunities internally remain abundant to retain the dynamic people we have in place.

    I worked at GEP full-time

    Pros

Some nice coworkers, not much to say

    Cons

If you are ambitious and eager to grow, don’t worry GEP will make sure to drain up your last ounce of desire. False promises are the most convenient answer management can give you. Many top management have no background and knowledge in what they are managing. Absolutely no department strategy nor goals, you won’t hear from your team leaders unless information is needed from you. Management gets all the perks and flexibility...

I have been working at GEP full-time for more than a year

      Pros

The office is great, people are friendly, and the firm is a great place, beyond a job, to start a career. As an rsm, theres a lot of flexibility in how and where I conduct work. Friendly atmosphere. Pingpong table.

      Cons

Organization is growing fast and undergoing structural changes. There arent too many processes internally and may require you to establish some yourself. Uncertainty must be addressed

      Advice to Management

Keep up with great work culture and the freedom to explore and engage with others. Its doing wonders for morale and makes us feel appreciated and trusted. As the company grows, youll want to establish some more concrete plans.

I worked at GEP full-time for more than 2 years

        Pros

*Accessibility: Senior leadership (Senior Director/VP level consultants, as well as the C-Suite) actively encourage engagement and firm building. Plenty of firms pay lip service to this - most are lying. If you're interested, you can get time on just about anyone's calendar in a timely fashion. *Hours: While there are project-level exceptions to the rule, hours are generally on the lower-end of the consulting spectrum....

        Cons

*The work: 90-95% of the "consulting" work that GEP does would be better classified as BPO. You will likely become a pro at running RFP processes, but the majority of the work you'll end up doing will, more likely than not, end up being pretty tactical/process-management related. Importantly, the nature of what a procurement team needs to do is guide and support the client's strategy, not come up with a new one - while...

        Advice to Management

Set expectations appropriately with college hires on the nature of the work that GEP does. You may lose some applicants but the ones you hire will be more likely to stay with the company in the long term.

I have been working at GEP full-time for more than 6 years

        Pros

Has a great family feel to it, despite its rapid growth. Competitive pay and a great work atmosphere. Challenging work environment, freedom to grow into your own here with ideas and processes.

        Cons

None that I can think of, they just need to continue their focus as they grow.

        Advice to Management

Continue with the tradition of keeping the family culture. It's evident that it's extremely important to them to take care of their people and to keep employee engagement active.
