I have been working at GLY Construction full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent company ethos and opportunities for personal and professional development. GLY continually puts it's people (safety!), clients, and projects first; while striving to be the best technical builder in the region. The quality and talent of GLY's employees is unmatched; including upper management.

    Cons

Deeply imbedded in the company culture is a desire for continuous improvement; at times this can be taxing on staff.

    Advice to Management

Continue to leave your doors open; listen to your employees and consider their comments and feedback. Open and honest communication is always appreciated. Thank you for your leadership.

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at GLY Construction full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They do keep you working studily, and there was plenty of work and overtime if you needed it.

    Cons

They really have a hard time appreciating the people out in the field that do that actual work. They act like they could careless, and no appreciation was shown. They had foreman who at times did not seem to know what their job was or how to do it. Around the holidays, they are could careless you are out there in the elements doing a quality job for them. No holiday benefit from them at all. Very uncaring.

I have been working at GLY Construction full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

GLY is small enough that it still holds a family type feel, but large enough to work on some extremely large, challenging projects. The company's commitment to training and development and continuous improvement make it a joy to come to work every day. Being surrounded by A players day in and day out is one of the most motivating reasons to get out of bed in the morning. GLY leadership is always looking to the future and have strategically propelled this company to the next level.

    Cons

Not a company for those looking for travel opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Your knowledge and passion combined with this culture of transparency is inspiring.

Wonderful place to work. GLY cares about employee growth and wants to see people succeed. Enjoy coming to work each day - both challenging and fun.

    Cons

Not as small as it used to be making it harder to keep the family feel, but it's still very close considering the booming growth in the industry.
