I worked at HAVI full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are good. Good medical, good pay, summer hours

    Cons

You will be overloaded with work. Expect to work 50hrs a week on the best case scenario. Management sucks very "ladder" like environment and you can feel it. The company culture is horrible. Very easy to get fired. Turn over extremely high. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

    Advice to Management

Give your employees a break. Life is meant to be live outside not inside an office.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at HAVI full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Many people really care about providing the best service and best products for their customers.
A lot of very nice people on a personal level but few who are willing to make waves for fear of their job,
Benefits are decent but somewhat oversold.

    Cons

Face time oriented. Very concerned about where you do your work (in the office after hours viewed much better than at home after hours) vs. how you do it/quality.
A lot of pettiness between functional groups.
Very little customer diversification. If McDonald's goes away HAVI will quickly crumble.
    Current culture is impeding progress.
If you haven't been there for years watch your back. The old guard doesn't like new people coming close to their territory.
    Lack of true advancement opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Figure out what is important and break down the silos. The old school mentality casts such a negative shadow across the company. Their is a air of superiority/self-importance that many have that impedes progress.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at HAVI full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, nice people to work with

    Cons

The culture needs a lot of help. 50 hours is the average work week. Anything less than they they will look at you like you arent doing enough. It is very important for you to physically be in the office. Flexible work isn't an option. Management will hold back information and employees hear news through the rumor mill. Even about their own managers leaving the organization.

    Advice to Management

Have a clear vision and stick to it.

Strong financially and stable company; great benefits and competitive salaries; above average talent and skills in employee base; customer focused and strong culture of doing good work. Casual work attire and flexibility.

    Cons

Business Units are often in silos; leadership is inconsistent and competition gets in the way of effectiveness and productivity; significant focus on short-term targets and individual goals impacts ability to take risks for future gain. Struggling with how to grow outside of McDonald's.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Progressive company that cares about employees. Very competitive benefits for a company today that reinforces the value the company places in it's employee base. Company has strong track-record of growth, and huge potential for future growth.

    Cons

Like any business, HAVI is not in a unique position to be struggling with changing. This is currently and organization that is growing, and you has challenges managing that growth. However, these are good challenges and the company has a very bright future.

    Advice to Management

Continue to farm new talent both inside the organization and outside the organization.
