    I worked at HTC full-time

    Pros

*Highly qualified and innovative work force
*Great office location in Seattle and Bellevue
*Friendly work environment and flexible work schedule
    *Above average pay

    Cons

*Total disconnect between Taiwan and N. American workforce
    *Poor benefit
    *Seniority model
    *Lack of training

    Advice to Management

It is shameful to see senior executives travel from Taiwan to Seattle/Bellevue offices with empty suitcases so they can bring goods from Amazon back to Taiwan for personal uses. There was a conference room in office dedicate to receive and store those packages before those executives show up. It was sad to see office admin spend hours sorting those package while N. American employees shake their heads.

I worked at HTC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pay, benefits, flexibility are amazing. The people are pretty great as well. Small but mighty teams in the USA with solid support from HQ in Taiwan.

    Cons

Poor leadership, financial insecure company. There has been laying after layoff the last few years. This company can't keep up with the big boys in the smartphone manufacturing space.

    Pros

Good experience working on full-scale, real-world projects. Contains the entire Android OS stack so odds are you will find some role that interests you.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    I worked at HTC full-time

    Pros

Flexible work environment but that also means lack of process and oversight.

    Cons

HTC is no longer a player in the smartphone market and the bet on VR seems to be in need of a few more years of maturity which HTC does not have. AR seems to have the momentum now, evidenced by Facebook's downward price pressure on Oculus

    Advice to Management

Cut the smartphone business and sell the VR business
