    Pros

I love the doctors I work for. They are extremely knowledgable at what they do. The staff in my office is also great.

    Cons

I really can not think of many cons other than the insurance choices for employees. Hopefully a wider selection will be available soon.

I have been working at High Point Regional Health full-time

    Pros

I had one year of experience when I was hired and got a $7,500 sign-on bonus, paid out over 3 installments after 1 month, 12 months, and 18 months of employment.

    Cons

Low base pay, not much opportunity for overtime.

I worked at High Point Regional Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Loved most of my co-workers and still miss a lot of them after leaving. We were a great team

    Cons

Short staffed. Was the only CNA to a 30 bed unit many nights, working with sundowners, dementia, withdrawals, and everything in-between. Upper management cared more about getting a good review from patients than giving proper care. This place was truly a disaster and I cried in my car before every shift. Having difficult patients is one issue, but when you physically cannot care for all your assigned patients and they are all yelling at you because they are all being neglected is a whole other issue that no health facility should have.

    Advice to Management

No idea what it's like now, but when I was there management was terrible. They had fired most management and replaced them all with people equally as incompetent as who they let go.

I have been working at High Point Regional Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I enjoy the community of High Point, NC. The patient population is underserved and in need of a lot of healthcare. I enjoy taking care of these fine folks.

    Cons

The pay isn't comparable to surrounding areas. We've had a tech position open for a year that no one wants b/c they can go down the street (to a competitor) and make a lot more per hour.

    Advice to Management

Stay current with the surrounding community's rate of pay, not the other hospitals on the other side of the state that you feel are "comparable" to this facility.

I have been working at High Point Regional Health part-time

    Pros

Co-workers and the patients make the day worth it.

    Cons

Scheduling, pay rate and duties put on one person

    Advice to Management

Do things that will make your employees want to stay here. Be more mindful to their life so that they can get the days that they prefer. Have more people scheduled so that the work load wont be all on two people.

I worked at High Point Regional Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very good company to work for. They always tried to be focused on the team, and offered ways to advance or seek higher knowledge.

    Cons

Patient ratio to nurse could always be improved. Also, the average nurse's hourly pay rate could be increased to meet the market and standard of living.
