I worked at HireStrategy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Offices are stacked with coffee and snacks.
Do get some good resources for recruiting and business development.
Generally good colleagues depending on the team.
Decent base salary for agency staffing, but even that is changing as Addison takes over.

    Cons

This is going to be long...

The company has absolutely 0 direction at this point...

Imagine going to work and really having no initiative to work day in and day out; since every policy changes on a whim and around 75% of the people are new hires that don't have a clue....

Please know that they were acquired by a larger "Robert Half" / "Aerotek"-esque company a little while back, and have since gone from being amazing, to being like every other agency firm on the block...

Heavy unrealistic metrics, people getting fired for not hitting numbers constantly, even though they have no support in learning how to do their jobs, the "old heads" absorbing everything as business development managers and then sitting there not doing any work but expecting you to do all the heavy lifting.

Recent title changes; as titles were bloated already and have now gotten even worse!

    Benefits Are Terrible...

Literally, they are, in fact, terrible. You have to wait 3 months to get your initial stuff, then you get next to nothing. The office environment is your only benefit, as you do get a company laptop and headset which was nice. But beyond that, HDV are not great, vacation is unlimited more or less which is nice (if you perform), but outside of that no major perks.

Drink the "Koolaide" or get out...

This company is as "cliquey" as you can get. The people there who have been there for 5 plus years stay in a very exclusive group and seem to look at their teams as rotating cattle. There is a large consistency of smack talk behind other peoples backs, and it literally feels like you are back in high school sometimes with the popular kids. Divisions are also in ongoing wars, like literally contract and direct hire divisions verbally arguing like an old married couple.

And Last But Not Least... The Talent is Gone...

The company feels as though it is sinking. Many of the top producers left and went elsewhere - realizing the downfall...
Business requisitions half the time are unqualified...
Recruited candidates half the time are unqualified...
There is so much gap room between consistency at this point, and overall client relations that half the clients don't even respond...

I can't tell people what to do as far as picking the job that is right for them, but being in the staffing world for a long time, this company is a shell of what it used to be...

    Advice to Management

Not sure what to advise. Things have been taken so far away from what the company once was that I would be worried to sign up again in the future. Good luck.

An amazing place to develop your recruiting and business development skills. Management is really committed to training employees at all levels. The work life balance and company culture are fantastic for a staffing company. Could not have asked for a better experience working here

    Cons

    Benefits could be better

I worked at HireStrategy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you want to make a lot of money and grow as a recruiting and business development professional, you can't find a better company. The leadership truly wants to see you excel and will give you the tools to do it. I learned so much in my tenure and wouldn't have the opportunity that I have now without HireStrategy.

    Cons

Healthcare could be better but the 401k is top notch. You get traditional holidays off plus floating holidays based on tenure.

    Advice to Management

    keep up the continuing education

    Pros

    good location in dc.

    Cons

    -culture is bad
-left because they started hiring anybody with or without experience. seemed desperate to fill seats. what a joke
    -management is terrible. micromanagement
    -long hours for little pay
    -commission structure not competitive
-metrics driven 100%. if you aren't in the top 5%, make sure you are always actively looking elsewhere for employment
-management favors top performers. everyone else is expendable
    -training is bad
    -churn and burn shop
    -people are just unhappy here
    -work on most holidays
    -no money to be made
-very clicky. great for people who want to feel included because they weren't accepted in college
-company going downhill with no hope

    Advice to Management

Run your business ethically and actually invest in your employees and treat them well. Forced labor camp is not how you want your company to be described. Wonder why all the good people left? Change or this downward spiral will continue until this company is no more.

I have been working at HireStrategy full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They placed me into a new position fairly quickly.

    Cons

I do not recommend this company. As part of my acceptance, I signed a Bonus Letter Offer, and was due to receive the bonus after 120 days of employment (which I successfully completed, and am still with the company). After close to 3 months now, and constantly hounding them for it, I still have not received my Bonus. They constantly indicate the check is in the mail when it clearly is not. They make promises they can't keep. Do yourself a favor and look at other hiring companies for employment.

    Advice to Management

Make promises you can keep, and be true to your word. I am a professional, and expect anyone I work with to be professional as well.

I have been working at HireStrategy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Unlimited growth potential, fair work schedule, minimal micromanagement, fun company events, ethical business practices.

I've worked at HS for about three years. Since the acquisition, little has changed in the actual day-to-day for regular staff. The management continues to be supportive of Associates at all levels. The company and offices are agile enough to change practices as needed. Good starting base and competitive bonus/commission structure. The biggest thing I have enjoyed about working here is the clear, transparent, and ethical business practices that take place at this organization versus many competitors. The staff should take pride in the HireStrategy processes as they are not industry standards.

    Cons

Pretty standard sales/staffing environment which is not necessarily a Con but rather a reality. Hard work and high activity is rewarded. Only negative is that each office and team has very different cultures. Each recruiter comes in with a varying level of experience and talent level. Those that don't want to work or lack social intelligence won't do well here.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be agile, make sure middle management is held to high standards, keep up the continuous education for all staff!

    I worked at HireStrategy full-time

    Pros

nice offices are about all i can think of. really bad experience. very obvious that it used to be cool and successful a while ago but now its horrible and not doing well

    Cons

it's a disaster! the whole company hates it, they hire people only to try to brainwash them, leadership with no leadership experience and have zero clue what to do, the pay is really low and well below market standard or average, full of unethical managers who will lie and say anything they have to to get you in the door only for you to open the door and see how bad this place is. i guess all the good and senior people left after some major drama and ever since they started all this lying to hire a big group of people with no experience to try to replace them all and it failed entirely. if you are even thinking about working here try reaching out to people that used to work here to tell you the truth

    Advice to Management

i couldn't agree more with the countless other reviews about them not caring about their people or their thoughts or anything really. washed up place that's keeps going deeper and deeper into the ground

    Pros

Supportive mentors, energetic team atmosphere, amazing resources, sets you up with a winning outline to build your business, the sky's the limit to your success, puts you and your family first!

    Cons

With any recruiting role, it takes a bit to build your neighborhood rapport, so patience is needed. Other than that, no real cons.
